The Summer Harvest Is Plentiful | LG Guide June 2026
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” (Matthew 9:35-38 NIV)
During seasons of harvest, be intentional at “each one reach one each year.”
Use summer schedules to deepen the relationships inside and outside the group.
Keep group meetings and one-to-ones consistent. (See Matthew 13:3-8)
Strategize how the group can “fish” for the lost together.
The number is ONE. Who is your ONE this summer?
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
Who is one person that you are currently reaching out to? What strategic adjustments do you need to make to remain consistent with them over the summer? Explain.
Who is one person that you are currently discipling in their walk with Jesus? What strategic shifts do you need to make to remain consistent with them over the summer? Explain.
How can your group strategically and intentionally leverage the summer season for evangelism and discipleship? Have you discussed a plan with your tripod? Explain.
PRAYER POINTS:
Give brief life updates and pray for one another.
Pray for the people we are reaching out to and discipling by name. Pray that their faith will grow exponentially over the summer as we are intentional and consistent with them.
