Relentless Follow-Up | LG Guide May 2026

Luke 24:13-35

1.After powerful encounters with Jesus, people’s faith tends to waver as they return to their “normal lives.” (v. 13-14)

  • They were sad. “They were sad..” (v. 17)

  • They were confused. (v. 21) “We had hoped that he would be the one to redeem Israel.”

2.We need to be relentless in our follow-up and walk with people as they journey through life.

“While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them.” (v.15)

3.We need to make the time to explain scripture to them.

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.” (v. 27)

4.We need to make time to sit at the “table” and fellowship with them.

“When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight.” (v. 30-31)

5.In time, God will open their eyes if we are persistent and consistent.

“And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him.” (v. 31)
